A powder sample of approx. 25 mg was obtained by drilling from nine Chinese Six Dynasties figures. Total radiation dosage in units of mrad/year and arch. dosage in rads was detd. for each sample. The dose-rates ranged from 386 to 775 mrad/year and the arch. dosages from É46 40 to 850 rad. A max. and a min. age is calc. for each sample. The age limits are asymmetric with respect predicted value of the age because the application of error factors do not influence the limits in the same manner. The min. age limit is primarily affected by doubt about environmental conditions. The max. age limit is dominantly influenced by considerations of alpha radiation dose dilution due to grain size. -- AATA
