Abstract
The drawing of a hawk is described from an art historical point of view. The drawing was discovered during the repair of painted screens which belonged originally to the Shingondo Hall, Eikyuji temple and are now owned by the Fujita Museum in Osaka. An x-ray radiograph was taken to examine the pigments used, and the presence of white lead and red ochre was evidenced. The screens were painted on silk in 1136. One color, one black and white, and one x-ray radiogram plate are included. Written in Japanese with an English abstract. -- AATA
