Abstract
Analyses of the 96 samples -- containing (1) ancient Korean earthenwares, (2) the Sue wares from the Osaka Suemura kilns, (3) the sherds from Narugami V, and (4) Otoura sites, both in Wakayama -- were made by energy-dispersive x-ray fluorescence and neutron activation methods. (1) can be discriminated from (2) by the contents such as strontium, calcium, lanthanum, tin, and cesium. Among 33 pieces of earthenware excavated from (3) and (4), six pieces were found to be Korean wares, and 25 pieces from Osaka Suemura kilns, two pieces were of un known origin. -- AATA
