Abstract
Chemical analysis of a series of terra sigillata objects showed that the composition varied from the lst to the 3rd century AD, first of all by an increase of CaO. From the mineral phases a baking temperature of 850-950°C can be deduced. See also AATA 17-1412, 18-1507, and 19-1714. -- AATA
