Abstract
Discusses Venetian and facon de Venise glass types that were excavated in England dating to the late 15th and 16th centuries. Through the analysis of shape, engraving, composition, and provenience, archaeologists speculated that the glass was made in England by Venetian glassmakers. Since Venetian glass trade was rather extensive, some of these types were compared with similar ones that were recovered from the Near East and salvaged from a shipwreck off the Dalmatian coast. -- AATA
