Abstract

Some 19 Greek stamped handles out of a total of 85 of a Levantine type storage jar from the period 175-130 BC registered at Tel Dor were analyzed by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA). Analyses of local Dor pottery were included in the study. The results showed that the chemical compositions of the jars statistically match reference materials from the northern coastal region of Israel.
