Abstract
Provides the first piece of evidence that articles of trade went from Canaan to Cyprus, information which is relevant to the study of interrelations among peoples of Canaan and the rest of the Mediterranean Basin during the middle and late Bronze periods. A specimen of an elongated type of Canaanite jar from Enkomi in Cyprus was sampled by instrumental neutron activation analysis. The analytical results indicated that the jar was made in Canaan, more specifically, in Ashdod or its environs.
