Abstract
The authors see their work as an aid in recording the path of a sewing thread through the folds of a book. They break the sewing process/product down into three parts: the motion of the thread to form a stitch, the patterns formed by a sequence of stitches (fold pattern -- either periodic or continuous, and backbone pattern) and the broad structure of the test-block (supported or unsupported). -- AATA
