Abstract
Results of analysis by x-ray fluorescence and by x-ray diffraction are presented respectively for 36 samples and 5 samples from enamelled brooches. The production of different colors and of opacity in the enamel is discussed in terms of the chemical composition. The composition of the metal substrate for the 36 objects sampled is also given and shows a careful selection of alloy.
