Abstract
The wood was impregnated with a urea-formaldehyde resin solution under intermittent vacuum. Bakelite Cement G.10897/1 diluted 10:1 with water and containing 1% by volume of Lissapol N was used, followed by Bakelite Accelerator Q.11191 5% in water. The wood was dried under pressure and stuck with Casco H. The iron parts were consolidated with Bakelite Resin R.568 and fixed with Bostik.
