Abstract
Aspergillus fumigatus IMI 255091 was grown in shake flasks on filter-paper clippings, cotton wool, milled straw, milled brewers’ spent grains, CC31 cellulose and alpha-cellulose fibres as principal substrates. Highest biomass was from spent grains, but highest endoglucanase, beta-glucosidase and xynalase titres were from flasks containing straw.
