Abstract
Procedures followed at the American Museum of Natural History to place in temporary storage the entire contents of the Hall of South American Archaeology and Ethnology. To save time and money the museum utilized old exhibit cases for storing the ceramics and stone in systematic and partly invisible arrangement. Looms, textiles, metal and borrowed specimens received special treatment. Methods used to record the previous and stored location of each artifact are given in detail. -- AATA
