Reed samples of mud-brick pyramids from Dra Abu El-Naga near Thebes in Egypt were dated by the radiocarbon method. A comparison with dendrochronology dated samples whose ₁₄C contents were measured in other laboratories showed good agreement between the ₁₄C con-tent of these Egyptian samples and that of contemporaneous wood from different areas. A comparison with results from other laboratories made on historically well-known samples, partly from the same graves, also showed good agreement. See AATA 17-865. -- AATA
