A method for improving registration of archaeological artifacts using x-ray photography and photogrammetry. To decrease backlogs and provide accurate data of exposed unexcavated or partially excavated artifacts, the objects can be examined by the above method using a stereometric plotter to give a 3-dimensional picture. Complete drawings can be made without fully excavating and decisions can be made on treatment priorities. -- AATA
