Abstract
The suburbs of Madrid are suffering the aggressions of contamination, and environmental and monumental destruction. The Teacher Training Centers of Alcalá de Henares, Arganda, and Coslada have tried to make teachers, pupils, and other groups in this area aware of this through two exhibitions. 1. Environmental Education (12 panels), promoting the preservation and conservation of the area, and the Jarama River Park. 2. Are you acquainted with Arganda? (36 panels and a kit containing biological, geological, and documental samples), which teaches about the past and present of the region, and tries to raise awareness of its future.
