Thermoluminescence was used for dating ceramics and carbonized soil; the error using this method was equal to or less than 15%. The results were comparable to those obtained by radiocarbon dating. Since carbon-ized soil is usually associated with charcoal or other organic matter, a very close relation between data from radiocarbon dating and thermo-luminescence can be obtained. -- AATA
