Abstract
A review of mainly North American approaches to the collection, curation, and storage of fossils. Treats many of the recognized problems of curating fossils, e.g. environment, weight distribution, inadequate access to specimens and data, lighting in storage, etc. The article covers aspects of field collecting and calls for new techniques for transporting fragile fossils. -- AATA
