Treatment of outdoor bronze statuary by the Light Metals Experimental Institute is reported. A special detergent treatment is followed by work on areas where iron oxides or zinc or lead salts are present. Examples of treatment include an equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius and the 12th century bronze lion in Brunswick. -- AATA
