Abstract
A survey of the conservation needs of the local museums and galleries in scotland is described. The methodology of the survey is discussed, including the use of existing data and the collection of additional information via questionnaires and on-site visits. The final report will contain recommendation intended to serve as a framework for developing a manageable, national conservation programme. -- ICCROM
