Current wool technologies at all stages of the wool textile processing chain are critically reviewed, and possible future directions anticipated. The review takes a systems approach to wool processing, addressing the cost penalties and quality problems which can arise at each point in the processing chain, many of which can be inherited from earlier processing stages.
