This report draws attention to the archaeological significance and potential of the copper mining on the Great Orme. It reviews the work done to date and it identifies and catalogues the range of evidence obtained: the need for consistency and co-ordination of approach in archiving of existing records and the obtaining of further information is recognized. On the basis of existing knowledge, proposals are made for the development of a research framework which identifies priorities for further work and which reconciles the differing requirements of academic research, conservation and the commercial development of the tourist mine.
