With the increasing number of what are now regarded as historic towns, state subsidies for studying monuments have multiplied. Special laboratories have been set up for examinations. Through the cooperation of the Hungarian authority for monument protection and the Polytechnic University, certain diagnostic exanainations have evolved for fixing the technical shape of buildings, as well as methods for protecting their surface. -- AATA
