Abstract
The Western Australian Museum Conservation Department provides conservation services to all museum departments, branch and municipal museums, and aboriginal sites. The use of synthetic-resin protective coatings on various materials is discussed. The following resins are examined: waxes, polyvinyl, soluble nylon, acrylic, epoxy, and polyester.
