Abstract
Discusses the foundations for the chronology of the Middle Minoan Bronze Age. Carbon-14 dates are regarded as useless for exact dating of the Aegean Bronze Age. The average corrected 14C dates for the destruction of Thera 1688 ± 57 B.C. are compared with historical dates (ca 1475 B.C.). Corrected 14C dates for the Aegean Bronze Age are generally about 200 years toohigh, if Albright's chronology of the first dynasty of Babylon is followed. -- AATA
