Abstract
Lacquered ware samples were continuously exposed to various kinds of light sources in order to determine the effects of exhibition lighting. The results obtained show that discoloration is caused by the mercury emission line 365nm of a fluorescent lamp or heat. Therefore it is desirable to use fluorescent lamps with filters to cut off the 365nm line or incandescent lamps arranged to avoid heat effects.
