Abstract
Micro-samples of early Chinese glass objects are examined by arc spectrography. The author states in general terms that in passing from pre-Han to T'ang times, Chinese glass tends to change from a lead-barium silicate type, to an intermediate lead-soda-lime silicate, and finally to a soda-lime silicate type.
