Abstract
Energy dispersive x-ray spectrometry with isotope excitation has been used to distinguish a group of 37 pieces of Straits Chinese porcelain from four known fakes on the basis of counting rates for the elements zirconium and niobium. No attempt has been made to quantify the amounts of these two elements and the activity of the annular Cadmium-109 source is not specified. -- AATA
