A theoretical analysis of degradation and of methods of stabilizing polyurethanes is presented. The efflciency of various stabilizers in polyurethane/poly(vinyl chloride) blends was investigated by measurements of the oxygen absorption occurring during photo-oxidation. The most efficient stabilizers proved to be UV absorbers of benzotriazole type. -- AATA
