Abstract
Presentation of a method for the stabilization of deformed walls by compression with steel rods and bolt anchorages in retaining blocks. The mechanical properties of the original materials, the calculation of permissible compressive and shear stresses are studied with the example of the castle of Janowiec. The walls were compressed by hydraulic press and cables and the compressing steel protected with cement-water suspension. See also AATA 19-1790.
