Abstract
The observation of some absorbents (carboxymethylcellulose, cellulose paste, micronized silica, kaolin) shows that their ability to limit the action of cleaning products to the surface varies enormously. Other important characteristics for the restorer were analyzed, such as shrinkage in drying, ease of preparation, application and removal, toxicity, and cost.
