Abstract
The conservation training program discussed here started in 1985, and the systematic studies that served as a basis for its inception are reviewed. To evaluate the curriculum of the restoration specialization, as a final step of the project, it was decided to: 1) prepare an academic-professional profile of the restorer; 2) evaluate the study program in the light of the profile; and 3) modify the curriculum accordingly. These points are discussed in the second part of this presentation. A partial translation of this academic-professional profile is appended.
