Abstract
Article attempts to provide a workshop manual on the Islamic book structure. The most suitable types and techniques of paper conservation and their advantages and disadvantages are described, as well as how the manuscripts can be sewn, headbanded, covered, read, and exhibited. This article is related to some previously published work that did not provide the context of the book as an entity. The structure devised is culturally and historically faithful to the original manuscript, yet retains much of the traditional binding style and method and is practical for library use.
