Abstract
The methods and materials used for restoring the finish on furniture are described. The materials include paint strippers, and finishes such as Watco Danish oil, Minwax antique oil, Deft lacquer, pure tung oil, and the salt-pork finish. Watco Danish oil is described as linseed oil which is converted to a resin that is dissolved in a solvent; driers are added for penetration. The Watco Danish oil oxidizes to a polymerized solid within the wood. -- AATA
