Freeze-drying of paper is not necessarily a treatment for mass restoration of water-damaged paper only. Freeze-drying can also be used to dry paper after deacidification, after neutralization and related wet-treatment techniques. It seems applicable as well to solve the problem of separating pages connected by the mycelium of fungi. -- AATA
