Abstract
Regional conservation laboratories (non-profit cooperative laboratories) serve about 500 museums and non-profit institutions in the United States. The history of the development of non-profit regional centers is discussed along with the various types of conservation services offered. One of the many benefits of membership examined is that of better acquaintance withconservators and conservation. Some problems and disadvantages are dealt with. -- AATA -- AATA
