The types of fuugi found growing on paint films, their effect on the physical properties of the film and the effect of pigments is described. The rate of growth on 20 vehicles is reported. Linseed oil 1.20-0.73, polyvinyl acetate 0.65, dammar 0.27, and shellac 0.00 mm/day are reported. Vehicles that are swelled and softened by water seem the most susceptible. -- AATA
