The tensile fatigue of raw, mercerized and crosslinked cotton fibers was examined in the fatigue-testing apparatus previously described in which oscillatory loads are applied to the fibers. In general, the fatigue fracture of all the specimens gave a similar morphology to that from tensile fractures but with a larger amount of fiber splitting. -- AATA
