Abstract
Welded steel sculpture is given a tin-nickel electroplate which results in a subtle, slightly pink finish which requires no final polishing. Weld scale is removed in cold 20% H2SO4 followed by a copper flash from a cyanide bath, a thick deposit of electroplated copper and a brief strike of nickel before the final plating. Composition of neither the plate nor the solution is given. -- AATA
