Abstract
Increasingly, modern technology is becoming a part of our everyday lives. More and more we are relying on machinery to store the information we wish to keep as a permanent record, whether at home, office, or even in historic repositories. The methods by which this information is stored is termed New Media. New Media is defined as an information system which requires a machine interface to interpret the stored data. Unlike Old Media, in the form of books, New Media can not be read by mankind without the assistance of a machine.
