Abstract
Differences between conservation of photos and their restoration are discussed in an interview with Grant Romer, conservator of still photography at the conservation laboratory of the International Museum of Photography, Rochester, New York. Romer points out that conservation is involved in prevention of damage by proper storage, handling and display of old and new photos. While much is known about photographic conservation, nobody in the worldknows much about restoration of photographic images, is his opinion. -- AATA
