The use of the GRIPHOS computer system for documenting the historic costume and textile collection at the University of Arkansas Museum is described. The computerization process involves the selection of data categories, the selection and definition of terms to be used in each category, the decision of how data should be entered on the computer, and the testing of data categories and data.
