Case history of the conservation and restoration procedures carried out on the 'Bowman' Flag at the Department of Material Conservation and Restoration of the Western Australian Museum. After examination, removal of patches and overpaint, the flag was cleaned and restoration work was done with polyester gauze impregnated with PVA Mowilith DM6. The flag was then prepared and mounted for display by its owners, the Mitchell Library, Sydney.
