Abstract
The species and strains of fungi used in standard tests of toxicity of wood preservatives in Great Britain, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, France, East Germany, West Germany, Poland, Romania, Hungary, U.S.S.R. and Scandinavian countries, together with U.S.A. and India for comparison, are listed and discussed. It is suggested that all countries could adopt four basic species: <i>Coniophora puteana (Fr) Karst, <i>Lentinus lepideus (Fr), <i>poria placenta (Fr), and <i>Trametes versicolor (L) ex Fr. -- AATA
