Metallic surfaces can be changed through the influence of the environment - atmospheric influences, components of the soil - as much as by specific chemical measures. The subject of the present work is a short description of corrosion processes on bronze and the problems of artistic colouring of bronze objects by means of selected patinating solutions. Illustrated by tables, Pourbaix diagrams, and cross-sections.
