This letter describes the examination of porcelain under ultra-violet light, when it was found that differences could be distinguished between porcelain from the same factory but of different periods. The writer adds that while he hopes such examinations will be carried out more frequently, he hopes that the results will be interpreted with discrimination (see <i>IIC Abstract 2146). -- AATA
