Abstract
Discusses five lead name-plates and a mortuary cross from retrospective monuments to 10th and 11th century bishops made soon after 1200, now in Wells Cathedral choir aisles. Another plate with an inscription was probably cast in the 14th century. Includes a note on the cross by C.A. Ralegh Radford and comments on the technical examination by R.F. Tylecote, E.
