Abstract
Interprets the inscription under the horse of the right hand group of the Dioscuri, the group marked Opus Praxitelis on the Quirinal (Monte Cavallo, Rome) as a document recording Antico's (Pier Jacopo Alari Bonacolsi) restoration of the antique group in the late 15th or early 16th century. Horse of the Opus Praxitelis on the Quirinal, a red chalk drawing with notes in pen and brown ink by Raphael (Devonshire collection, Chatsworth) was probably executed in connection with the plan to repair the statue. -- AATA
