Abstract
The compatibility of resins, natural and synthetic waxes, and polymers have been studied using a viscosity method. The data was further confirmed by IR spectroscopy. The results of the research were that the following pairs were found to be compatible: Cosmolloid 8OH/Acryloid B72; Cosmolloid 8OH/acrylate copolymer of and radiation; Acryloid B72/Vinavil K50; dammar/AW-2; Acryloid B72/dammar; dammar/acrylate copolymer of and radiation. The pairs Acryloid B72/beeswax; dammar/mastic; gelatin/methyl cellulose Celacol M20 have limited compatibility. The pairs dammar/beeswax; gelatin/polyvinyl alcohol Mowiol 50-98 are incompatible.
