Abstract
Extensive analytical studies showing that some bones which appear to be well fossilized have retained considerable amounts of organic material. Since bones lose their protein at a slow and, under the same conditions, fairly uniform rate, the relative ages of bones at some sites can be determined by comparing their organic contents.
