Abstract
The introduction of computer-assisted infrared and Fourier transform infrared spectrometers has greatly enlarged the possibilities of qualitative and quantitative analysis of macromolecular multicomponent systems. By using the digitally stored standard spectra of the components of a system, the composition may be evaluated subject to some technical difficulties which are considered in detail.
